Web Developer at I-Rock

I-Rock Technologies Limited is a Zambian owned software-as-a-service company. Providing business solutions, expertise and support, and we are currently seeking a web developer.

Responsibilities include HTML and CSS development within PHP web applications, coding of content-managed websites using WordPress and other technologies, debugging, and other development work. This individual will work with collaboratively with teams of designers, developers, and clients.

We aim to promote a casual, fun, collaborative environment. Education and experience are less important than your ability to code, debug, and invent unique solutions.

We are busy working on a number of projects. Your work will directly impact our efforts with rapidly growing client list and the long-term success of our company as well as the success of our clients!

Experience: 1+ years of experience as PHP Developer/Web Developer

A degree/diploma in the following will be a PLUS:

• Computer Science
• Computer Engineering
• Or related field

Employment: Part Time

Required Skills

• HTML and CSS
• Experience with open source content management systems (i.e. WordPress, Drupal, OpenCart Magento etc.)
• JavaScript and jQuery
• Strong coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good knowledge of HTML/PHP editors like Dreamweaver, Sublime, Notepad++, etc.
• Highly motivated individual with passion for learning new technologies

Desired Skills

• PHP 5+ and experience with PHP Framework (CakePHP, Smarty etc.)
• Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL, MariaDB
• PHP/ MySQL Development & Support for diverse Web based applications using MVC.
• Photoshop
• SEO
