We are now recruiting an experienced and dynamic Technical Advisor - Geology to work with Kinsevere Mining team to provide technical support to the geology team in the MTS department and using your skills, knowledge and experience to maximise the team’s contribution to the safe business performance of MMG Kinsevere. Additionally, the role will provide coaching/mentoring to develop the capability of geology team over time to perform their roles independent of expatriate technical support.

Reporting to the Superintendent - Mine Improvement, you will coach the national Mine Geology team on best practices in to developing grade control models and programs, resource modelling and stockpile management. You will support all the Geologist team to collate and analyse geological data and provide interpretation, estimation, reconciliation and documentation of project outcomes to maximise ore delineation and recovery whilst minimising dilution through effective management. To facilitate accurate and timely geological information for the use in engineering designs for current and future mining areas.

To succeed as a Technical Advisor at MMG, you’ll need strong planning and prioritization skills and a proven ability to achieve success through others. As such, it’s likely that you’ll have held an expatriate supervisory role previously or at least led culturally diverse and/or non-English speaking teams

To be considered, you must be degree qualified in a Geology-related discipline and demonstrate an extensive background in resource development and ore management, preferably in open pit mining. Experience with oxide, sulphide and transitional ore bodies will be expected. Knowledge of software such as Surpac and Deswick is preferred. French language skills will be highly regarded.

This is a two-year fixed term position, offering a competitive commute roster of 6 weeks on/3 weeks off with fully subsidised return flights to your permanent place of residence. Features of Kinsevere's village facilities include fully serviced air-conditioned rooms, laundry service, wet mess, sporting facilities (gym, tennis, volleyball, squash, basketball and pool tables) and Wi-Fi access. Remuneration includes attractive salary and performance-based incentive payment.
